Twitter-Happy Attorney Ronald Richards Buying Erika Jayne’s $6.5 Million Mansion Amid Their Ongoing War!
Ronald Richards has put a bid on Erika Jayne’s former mansion amid their court case.
Former trustee on Tom Girardi’s bankruptcy case, Ronald Richards, is not letting Erika Jayne have any peace. The attorney who is currently pursuing a $5 million dollar fraud lawsuit against The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, shocked fans when he announced that he had placed a bid on her former home. On Wednesday, he wrote on Instagram that he and his wife Lauren put a $6.9 million dollar offer on the California estate.
The attorney said that he hopes to have the star’s deposition there along with other players in the case. Richards explained that he wanted to do this so that his followers can see how victims’ money was spent. Richards also explained how they will use the mansion. “We will also use it for a public forum on first amendment activities, something Erika and her legal team strongly are against,” he claimed. “They want secret hearings and trials, not public scrutiny.”
Tom Girardi bought the mansion in 1980 for $1.3 million dollars. Since his trial, Erika moved out of the mansion and into a modest L.A. rental. She reacted to Richards and his wife wanting to buy her former home on Twitter. “Uhhh how are you going to get this ‘museum’ past the homeowners association? I think they like their privacy.?” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also accused the lawyer of being an obsessed fan of hers.
Jayne tweeted to Ronald “I knew you and your wife were SUPER FANS…. This really confirms it!” She also added in another comment directed at his wife, “Does it bother you that your husband is OBSESSED with me?” Lauren denied the claims and said Erika shouldn’t be flattered by her husband’s interest in her criminal case. Ronald responded that he was only a “fan of justice!” He clarified in an Instagram story, “Still trying to help the victims Won’t stop until they get everything they are owed.”
Richards explained to his fans that the Pasadena mansion would be “rehabbed and liquidated after the Estate proceeds are disbursed.” The attorney wrote, “We are hopeful there are no further delays in selling this deteriorating asset that is having its equity eroded on a monthly basis.” He added, “Let’s finally make a deal.” Some fans thought it was unethical of Richards to make such a move on Erika while others saw it as a smart way to fight for the victims.
