Martell Holt Regrets Cheating & Feels Melody Holt Is Better Than Mistress!

Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Martell Holt had a lot to say about his past mistakes in his marriage to Melody Holt.

When Martell appeared on the CheMinistry Rejection Panel, he spoke about the end of his marriage and why he stepped out on Melody. He said he cheated on her because he felt like she rejected him. Martell also spoke about how his mistress, Arionne Curry,  doesn’t compare to his ex-wife. His comments got mixed reactions from Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans. 

Martell said that the first time he met Arionne was after Melody had said some harsh words to him. “She made this statement to me, we got into it, she said, ‘Go out there and find you a girlfriend.’” He said that those words got into his spirit and that night, he met a woman and told her, “I want you to be my girlfriend.” He admitted that he told Curry from the first day he was married and always wore his ring around her. 

However, when Martell compares his relationship with Arionne to his relationship with Melody, he realizes his mistress was only able to give him 15% of what he needed. “I think that was very foolish of me to do such a thing. But at that time, I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh, my wife, she’s giving me 85% and she’s giving me 15,’ or whatever. I wasn’t thinking like that. If I would have thought like that, ‘I don’t want that damn 15%. I’ma stick in this house and sit my ass down somewhere.’ But that wasn’t the case. I think that I just wasn’t thinking.”

Fans reacted to Martell’s comments about his ex and how he regrets what he did with mixed reactions. One person tweeted, “Martell Holt is EXHAUSTING!!! I don’t know how Melody took the narcissism, ego, arrogance, lack of accountability or gas lighting..let alone the cheating!” Another fan said, “It took almost two full seasons for Martell Holt to FINALLY admit his biggest mistake was him trying to be loyal to two women at the same time whilst being married…I never thought I’d see the accountability.”

Despite his regrets, Melody has said that she would never get back with him. “I literally would die alone before I’d ever be with Martell. And I don’t say that…I don’t want you to think I’m trying to be mean about it but it’s the honest to God truth,” Melody revealed. In June 2020, Melody filed for divorce from Martell after 12 years of marriage.
