Married At First Sight’s Noi Phommasak Divorcing Steve Moy!
Married At First Sight stars, Noi Phommasak and Steve Moy, are getting a divorce after only a few months.
Married At First Sight premiered recently and one of this season’s couples who fans got to see falling in love was Noi and Steve. However, six months after the show premiered on Lifetime, the couple shocked everyone by announcing they were getting a divorce. The two announced the news on their Instagram accounts. Noi said on her page, “Divorce feels so good,” before she added on her IG stories, “Take back your narrative (even when your voice shakes).”
Moy went into more detail about why his marriage with Noi Phommasak didn’t work out. He wrote on his Instagram saying that even though he was not expecting the announcement to happen today, he was prepared to handle it. Steve continued, “I knew that our relationship was far from perfect, but I held the belief that with enough time, effort, and understanding, we could overcome the challenges we faced, and build a healthy, functioning relationship.”
Steve went on to say that they have been apart for a while now and are even thinking of moving on. “This surprise announcement is definitely a sign that it’s time to definitely let go,” he said. He went on to wish his ex well in her future adding, “I so wish we were a better fit. I wish we could meet each other’s needs without feeling like we have to compromise ourselves to a point beyond that we consider acceptable.” Steve Moy continued, “At our best, our relationship has been truly special, and full of love. Although we face our own set of challenges, one thing’s for sure, our chemistry can’t be denied.”
After his post, Noi responded by saying, “I think this is well intention so I will respond – to be honest there’s a lot you don’t see. One being that Steve also did not want me to move in, that was not just me refusing to move in. Steve is not the husband you see on tv. That is all I will say and I’m sorry, but this outcome also breaks my heart but it is the truth of what can happen when you marry a stranger on tv.”
A rep for the Lifetime show said, “We wish them both well and healing on their new journey.” Married At First Sight fans were also heartbroken about the couple’s situation. One said, “indeed As much as Noi anNoi’d me, I knew there was also something about Steve. So I don’t have a hard time believing Noi’s assertion that he is being less than transparent.”
