Chantel Everett Accuses Pedro Jimeno Of Physical Domestic Violence And Cheating In Divorce Filing!
Chantel Everett has accused her husband, Pedro Jimeno, of domestic violence as the couple’s impending divorce heats up. The popular 90 Day Fiancé alums and stars of spinoff series, The Family Chantel, made the decision to split, in May. Pedro filed for divorce on May 26 but claimed that they had been separated since April 27. The TLC star said that their marriage had become “irretrievably broken.”
Chantel and Pedro have been firing legal shots at each other in the weeks since the divorce filing.
Pedro accused Chantel of transferring cash from a joint account only days before they split, in an emergency motion.
“On or about April 23rd 2022, the Defendant withdrew from the Parties’ joint business account over $257,000.00 of the Parties’ joint funds and transferred it into an account in the Defendant’s name and her sister’s name,” Pedro’s lawyers said in May.
Chantel stated in court documents filed Tuesday that she was ending the marriage for reasons that included adultery and “physical domestic violence, as well as mental pain.”
Chantel and Pedro connected in person for the first time in Pedro’s native Dominican Republic, where they got engaged. TLC cameras chronicled Pedro coming to the United States on a K1 visa, which allowed the couple 90 days to decide whether or not to tie the knot. The pair wed in 2017, amid family drama and eventual physical fights.
Chantel and Pedro’s marital breakdown has been the focus of the currently airing fourth season of TLC reality show, The Family Chantel.
In a scene that aired last month, Chantel told her husband—”I want the old Pedro back. You haven’t been kissing me, and you haven’t been hugging me.”
She added—“We haven’t had sex in months, so why are you doing that?”
“This is a dry desert. This is not what our relationship was before,” Chantel admitted in a confessional spot. “We would make love all the time. We were so lovey-dovey before. I don’t know what happened since his trip to the Dominican Republic, but that’s when all this behavior began.”
Court documents revealed that a mutual restraining order was filed on the same day that Pedro filed for divorce.
Chantel responded to Pedro’s filing on June 7 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, agreeing that their union was “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
Chantel, 31, appeared to agree with her husband, who is seeking an equitable division of all marital property.
The reality star is also requesting that Pedro, 30, “immediately return her cell phone and backup storage devices for her computers and cell phone.”
The Family Chantel airs Mondays at 8 pm, ET, on TLC
