Little People Big World’s Zach And Tori Roloff Dragged for “Reckless” Parenting
Zach and Tori Roloff were hit by backlash after Tuesday’s episode of Little People, Big World revealed their young son, Jackson, improperly buckled into his carseat.
The Little People, Big World couple has landed in controversy in recent months, over what many see as subpar parenting decisions. Zach, 32, and Tori, 31, are now being blasted by viewers after the show revealed Jackson, then-4, incorrectly secured in his carseat, during an outing with his father.
Fans noticed that one strap of the seat was not positioned correctly and the other was not in the picture at all. Viewers raced to Reddit to sound off about the mistake, and many bashed the couple as negligent.
“Yesterday’s episode showed Jackson in a high back booster wearing his seatbelt improperly. Shouldn’t he still be in a 5 point harness? All I kept thinking about was how fast he would fly out in an accident,” one user wrote, kicking off the discussion.
“They let the kids bounce around untethered in that Mule on the farm,” another fan pointed out.
Another wrote, “Blows my mind when people just do not care about their kids safety. It only takes one, not ever major, wreck to seriously hurt a kid in the wrong seat.”
One fan opined that the couple’s younger child, Lilah, 2, should ride in a rear-facing carseat, not front-facing.
“Idiots shouldn’t have children,” another remarked.
Zach and Tori Roloff have been called out before for their seeming lack of attention to proper carseat safety.
Tori shared a snap of Lilah on her Instagram Story last week, revealing the toddler enjoying a questionable level of freedom of movement while strapped in her seat. Tori called her cute little girl the “ultimate road tripper bean!”
Some of Tori’s followers sounded off on Reddit, claiming that Lilah was not secure in a carseat that should have been installed in a rear-facing position.
“I felt like jumping into the screen just in case she fell. Scary stuff!” one person wrote. “I’m not exactly one who believes we should wrap our kids in bubble wrap and force them to wear helmets 24/7 just to keep them safe… but that was beyond reckless.”
Another wrote, “The torsos of people with achondroplasia are (on average) the same size/length as average height people. So Lilah still could have sized out the harness or the shell of rear-facing seats.”
One fan said—“My son will be rear-facing until he is the absolute maximum weight. I know he’d much prefer to face forward but, kid, you have seventeen more pounds to go for that. Rear-facing is SO much safer.”
Another commented that Tori “should have better secured Lilah to her seat. It’s not that hard Tori.”
