Marlo Hampton has been on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for close to 10 years, and all that time, she was cast as “the friend of.” She finally got her peach this season and said not everyone on the cast was happy about her achievement. When Hampton appeared on David Yontef’s show, Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, she said Kenya is like “one of those African-American sisters who are just not going to support another African-American sister.”

Marlo also said Kenya didn’t even congratulate her or take her out for lunch to celebrate her latest milestone. She added, “Not once has she sent a card. Not once has she said, Hey, even with no cameras, I would look at Kenya differently if she said, ‘Hey girl, you’ve been fighting for this for 10 years. It’s well-deserved. I want to take you to lunch’ … And for them not to do that, it really hurts not to just get that congratulations. Not just to get that call.” Hampton also said she had been a very important part of the women’s lives and careers, so to not get acknowledged by the ladies hurt.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star also touched on Kenya’s villain status on the show. Moore had said at the beginning of the season that she was going to pass her villain baton to someone else. However, Marlo said during the podcast interview that she doesn’t think that will ever happen. She said about Kenya, “That is something she might want to pass but she can’t, that’s her title. I understand you don’t want that, but it’s in your blood baby. If you draw her blood, it’s like villain. Villain type.”

When news of her getting a peach first came out, Marlo told Page Six that Kenya was not happy for her. At the time, she said she had gotten passed for the opportunity of full-time housewife twice. She said about her relationship with Moore: “I put in the work. Like, I’m going to show this girl what being a friend is. I went above and beyond to support her and I’m just like, ‘I’m tired of you never supporting me.’” Hampton added, “Every damn time I give, she just f—king takes some water and throws it right in my face.”
