Basketball Wives’ Brittish Williams Still Committing FRAUD While Out On Bail!
Brittish Williams may be headed back to jail before her fraud trial case.
According to MediaTakeOut, the Basketball Wives Star could be sent back to jail for breaking the terms of her bond. Prosecutors believe Williams has been traveling freely which is against her court order. Per her bail guidelines, she was not to have unauthorized travel. Not only that, but they also believe that Brittish has committed “new” frauds while she has been out on bail.
The Basketball Wives star was indicted by a jury on September 22 on five federal charges, including misuse of a Social Security number, four charges of bank fraud, three charges of making false statements to the IRS, three charges of wire fraud, and three charges of aggravated identity theft. She was granted bail and ordered to wear a tracking monitor pending her trial, but now prosecutors want it revoked after her latest incidents.
According to the news outlet, prosecutors are saying that Williams already admitted to two instances of traveling without the approval of a federal official. The reality star’s first trip was to Dallas, Texas in December 2021 for a friend’s birthday. At the time, Brittish admitted that she did not ask for permission since her decision to go was last minute and she knew they would refuse anyway. She also took another trip from Missouri to New York in October 2021.
The prosecutors feel that Williams is not taking the cases against her seriously. They say her behavior shows that “she does not respect the gravity of the Indictment against her or her bond conditions.” They also said that Brittish is still conducting fraud while out on bail. She was involved in a minor motor vehicle incident but failed to report it to the courts as ordered.
It doesn’t stop there, according to MTO, the government says they were notified of a new federal investigation for alleged fraud-related insurance claims. The prosecutors claim that after the accident, Williams said she had no injuries and only minor damage to her car. However, she submitted a bill to her company for damages totaling to$16, 206.
Williams’ lawyer recently went to court to demand the terms of his client’s bail be modified so that her ankle monitor can be hidden. Her lawyer said the show’s producers don’t want the device to be visible because it limits the outfits and costuming that she can use.
