Wendy Williams Races To Talk Show Before Her Wigs & Purple Chair Are Trashed By Network!
Wendy Williams made sure to get all of her memorabilia from her show before they were thrown out!
The Wendy Williams Show came to an end in June after 13 seasons of being on-air successfully. The last episode aired last Friday and the production gave Wendy a heartfelt tribute for all her contributions to daytime television. At the time, production said they were disposing of Wendy’s purple chair and other memorabilia she had left in the studio to make space for their new show.
According to reports by Radar Online, however, it seems Wendy’s things have found the right home. They learned that Williams went back to her show’s studio after the last episode aired and picked up her wigs and purple chair. Wendy’s new manager, Will Selby, confirmed that they took all of the hosts’ belongings before they were sold on eBay.
When asked about the staff, Will said, “We took it from the show. When they announced the show was over, I said to Wendy, ‘let’s go get your stuff,’ I thought, ‘Why should it stay there — so people can sell it on eBay?’ There were some things I felt were iconic.” Will explained to The Sun that so many of Wendy’s things will be part of her new show. “That was hers and it signifies the old chapter closing as we start the new one.”
Wendy left all of her belongings from The Wendy Williams Show after she failed to return from her hiatus in 2021. The former daytime host also took custom-made shoes and artwork that was made for her. According to Wendy’s manager, all of her belongings are currently in her apartment as she prepares for the next phase in her career. Wendy told TMZ that she is planning on starting a podcast soon.
Williams told TMZ that she is planning to make the move from Television to podcasts because of her health issues. According to Selby, Wendy is calling in favors from her Hollywood friends to appear on her new podcast show when it starts. He claims that she’s spoken to big stars like Snoop Dog, Fat Joe, The Kardashians, and even one of the members of the Trump family about coming on the show as guests.
One fan tweeted about Wendy’s future in podcasts and said, “Thing is, a Wendy Williams podcast would drag us all for filth and we’d come back for more every time. It’d be a global hit. I hope she gets ok.”
