Garcelle Beauvais Drags Diana Jenkins, Says She’s ‘Absolutely Nuts’ And ‘Uneducated!’
Garcelle Beauvais did not hold back when asked about the recent drama surrounding her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Diana Jenkins, during a Wednesday appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Host, Andy Cohen, began by asking Garcelle, 55, what she thought of the RHOBH newbie naming her the most unwelcoming woman on the cast.
“She’s nuts. She’s absolutely nuts,” Garcelle immediately replied.
Diana called Garcelle the most “unwelcoming” woman in the group during a recent episode, implying that she found it a struggle to form a friendship with the actress. The newbie was quickly called out on social media, with some fans calling her seemingly premature assessment racially motivated.
Cohen then asked Garcelle to weigh in Diana’s recent Instagram beef with a black woman who runs a Bravo fan account. The newest RHOBH star recently apologized for making a “racially insensitive” remark to the Instagram user.
“Do you believe Diana misinterpreted the ‘black content creator’ on Instagram moment?” Cohen asked Garcelle, who clashed with Diana during her birthday party, an event featured on Wednesday’s episode.
Garcelle kept her feedback short, simply stating—“She’s uneducated.”
The social media drama began earlier this month, after the 49-year-old reality star landed in a feud with content creator, Kristen Dionne, aka “Philly Diva,” on Instagram. Diana made a crude remark in response to Dionne pointing out the dramatic changes in the reality star’s appearance, over the years.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina native took to the post’s comment section, which featured side-by-side snaps of her face, to slam Dionne’s post.
Diana wrote—“That picture was actually taken At UCLA law school talking about war crimes in my country and setting up human rights clinic that i financed Before war criminals were brought to justice.”
“I was probably 20 or 30 Pounds skinnier and having glam was last thing on my mind,” she continued. “Also looks like picture is manipulated. But shame on you!!!! You and your bulls–t shopping!!!”
Dionne, who reminded the reality star that Bravo stardom comes with social media feedback, pushed her to “keep that same energy with the rest of Instagram that thinks you have no storyline and should be fired. But shout out to my brand new page!”
Diana fired back—“It can’t feel good being a Black content creator.”
Diana was immediately slammed by outraged fans and later posted an apology.
“Please understand I am not from this country,” she wrote to Dionne. “I’m devastated that this was taken to mean something racially insensitive. I understand now why it was taken that way and that was never my intention. I am truly sorry.”
“I assumed ‘Black content creator’ was a title referring to a page that would be focused on snarky content,” Diana explained. “I copied the term because I thought that’s what it meant. I didn’t realize it was referencing to you as a Black woman and a content creator.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
