The REAL Reason Ashley Marti Skipped ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 3 Reunion!

Ashley Marti did not attend the season 3 reunion of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but that didn’t stop her co-stars from talking about her! 

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 reunion recently aired and star Ashley Marti, 24, was nowhere to be seen despite her drama taking center stage. Host Andy Cohen asked Gary King about his ‘hook up’ with Ashley when he was seemingly drunk. As Andy put it, “You were really drunk, you told her to stop. From the viewers’ perspective, you were sexually assaulted. Is that you felt?”

Gary, however, defended Ashley’s actions and felt some fans were being too harsh on her. He began by saying that while they aren’t friends, he doesn’t think there was anything to the situation. “I thank everyone for sticking up for me, but there was nothing to it and I feel that everyone should leave Ashley alone on that circumstance because it wasn’t how it seemed.”

This talk about the situation is exactly why Ashley didn’t attend the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3  reunion. Marti revealed during her June 26 Instagram Live that she didn’t want to hear about her situation with Gary which would have been a hot topic. She said, “at the time the reunion was filmed, all of the stuff with the bedroom scene was coming out. And people were being very nasty, and I just felt like I didn’t want to have to deal with it during the reunion.” 

Marti had told her fans she wouldn’t be able to tell her side of the story if she went to the reunion because of the network’s editing so she just didn’t go. Some of her co-stars expressed their disappointment in Ashley for not attending but defended her by saying she might have been too busy. However, Daisy Kelliher wasn’t having it and fired back that they are all busy. “We all have jobs. We all have things to do. But we all knew that the reunion happens, so cut the busy bulls–t.”

Some of the show’s fans reacted to Ashley skipping the Below Deck Sailing Yacht reunion. One person tweeted, “She was good about dishing things out on the show but she really can’t take it when it’s directed at her.” Another person added, “Clearly she doesn’t have any intention of being held accountable for her actions.”
