Mama June Shannon Parties In Vegas As Daughter Pumpkin Breaks Down In Therapy Session!
Mama June Shannon’s daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, broke down during a therapy session that will be featured in an upcoming episode of Mama June: Road to Redemption. Pumpkin shared a preview clip on Instagram, allowing viewers a sneak peek into a therapy session she shared with husband, Josh, and their therapist.
“I’m happy, but I’m not happy,” Pumpkin said, fighting back tears.
“I’m just going through the motions,” Josh admitted, also becoming emotional. “Saddened that with everything that has come with it, kept a strong face.”
The couple appeared to be hashing out issues surrounding their rollercoaster relationship with Pumpkin’s troubled mother. Josh suggested that cutting June out of their lives might be the only option.
“You’re going to have to let your mama go, boo,” Josh tells his wife.
The session ends in a family group hug, but the issue is far from resolved.
June is featured with friends living it up in Las Vegas, in another part of the preview.

Fans know that June was arrested alongside her then-boyfriend, Geno Doak, in March 2019 amid spiraling drug addiction. June sold the family’s Georgia home at a loss to obtain quick cash, as her addiction issues raged. She now claims that she’s been sober for over two years.
The WE tv star’s relationship with Geno was featured during Season 1 of Mama June: From Not to Hot, which premiered in February 2017. The couple appeared altar bound before becoming entrenched in substance abuse.
June confirmed that she had tied the knot with boyfriend, Justin Stroud, earlier this month.
“I know you guys been seeing it all over the Internet so we are here to clear up some of the rumors, YES me and @officialsmallz1 Really got married back in march 23 on our six month anniversary,” the reality star wrote alongside a video captured on the couple’s wedding day.
June continued— “yes it was so spur [of] the moment but if you wanna follow our love story make sure you turn [sic] into mama June from not to hot Road to redemption.”
Pumpkin expressed upset with her mother earlier this month after June went MIA in the weeks following the May birth of her twins.
“June has not been by to see Pumpkin or the babies since they’ve been home,” an insider told The Sun. “She hasn’t been to their house to check on her or try to help.”
Pumpkin vented on her private Facebook page about a week after giving birth, seemingly firing shots at her mother.
“Just putting this out into the air but it’s literally up to NO ONE but YOU to make sure you have a relationship with your grandkids, niece, nephew- etc. And if you don’t, you got no one to blame but you.”
“If you wanna see them, drive. If you wanna call them, call. It is not- I repeat NOT up to the PARENT to make sure you know their child.”
“They are way too busy raising said child/children & already being active in their lives to worry about how active you are.”
