RHOC’s Lauri Peterson’s Son Josh Waring Arrested Again!

Lauri Peterson’s son, Josh Waring, is back under police custody after he was charged with drug possession. 

Lauri’s son has had a troubling past with the law and has been arrested a few times. The Real Housewives of Orange County star’s son, Josh, was arrested earlier this year. According to TMZ, Josh Waring was arrested by an Orange County police officer who spotted him in the passenger seat of a car. Since the officer recognized Waring and knew he was on parole, he conducted a random search.

The officer arrested Waring after he allegedly found fentanyl and meth on Josh’s lap. He allegedly tried to brush the drugs to the floor of the car but was arrested on the spot on January 10, 2022. Peterson’s son was also accused of felony possession, misdemeanor methamphetamine possession, and sale of fentanyl because of the amount he had on him. Waring’s recent arrest comes less than a year after he was taken into custody for riding a stolen car that was reported missing from John Wayne Airport. 

Josh Waring was also arrested in 2016 for shooting a man outside a sober living home facility in Costa Mesa, California. Luckily, the victim, 35-year-old Daniel Lopez, survived. Josh, 27, at the time was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading, hit and run, and assault and battery. He told the Daily Pilot in 2017, “I’m not nervous because I’m innocent. I didn’t do it.”

Josh spent four years in jail until he got a plea deal in 2020. He pleaded guilty to felony counts of assault with a firearm, evading a peace officer, two counts of assault, hit-and-run with property damage, and battery. Lauri Peterson’s son was released on parole in March 2020. The former RHOC star spoke about her son’s case in 2018 and claimed that Josh was being framed by police. 

Peterson tweeted, “After keeping silent for nearly 2 years in regards to my son’s arrest, I am going to begin laying out the facts of his case and how easily it is to be falsely accused!” Lauri added that she was working on a blog about Josh’s arrest. At the time, Peterson said the only silver lining in Josh’s arrest was that he was sober after hundreds of attempts. “It is what keeps me going!”
