Britney Spears’ first husband, Jason Alexander, was tackled by security when he tried to crash her wedding to Sam Asghari.

The incident happened on Thursday when Britney’s home was being prepared for her upcoming wedding. Alexander, 40, was Britney’s first husband and childhood sweetheart. The former couple got married in 2004 at a little white wedding chapel in Las Vegas. However, Jason claimed their marriage was annulled 55-hours later because of Britney’s management and mother.

Alexander was on Instagram Live when he walked up to Britney’s mansion in Los Angeles. He was intercepted by security who told him, “You gotta leave the property.” Alexander responded, “Don’t put your hands on me. Please don’t put your hands on me,” while asking where Britney was.

After making it onto the property, an altercation between Alexander and security happened. It resulted in the vandalism of a property that was valued under $400, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s department. Fox News reported that Alexander was charged with “two counts of misdemeanor battery, one count of misdemeanor vandalism, and one count of misdemeanor trespassing, in addition to the out of county warrant.”

Alexander is still in custody at the moment and his case is being submitted to the district attorney. According to TMZ, Alexander was heard saying, “I’m her first husband. I’m here to crash her wedding.” The department confirmed that their deputies responded to a “trespassing in progress” call and made contact with Alexander. When the police spoke with him, they discovered he had an outstanding, out-of-county felony warrant.

“They placed him under arrest for the warrant, and the deputies and investigators are investigating what occurred at the residence to determine if any criminal violations occurred,” the department added. “Eventually he will be booked at the Ventura County Jail.”

A source close to Britney spoke to Page Six to say she was shaken over the incident. They said, “Britney is shaken but doesn’t want to let this get her down. Everyone is thankfully safe, and Jason is no longer on the property.” Preparations for Britney’s upcoming wedding are ongoing in her home in Thousand Oaks and many celebrities are set to attend.

Britney’s fans reacted to the news on Twitter, with one person saying, “Omg! Britney can’t even get married without people trying to ruin her day! This is so sad! I hope she had a wonderful wedding and I wish her all the happiness!! She deserves to be left alone and be able to live her life!”
