Todd & Julie Chrisley On House Arrest While Awaiting Fraud Sentencing!
Todd and Julie Chrisley are now confined to their home until their sentencing date after being found guilty on Wednesday.
The Chrisley Knows Best stars were found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud. The couple will be sentenced in October for their crimes and could face up to 30 years in prison. According to Radar Online, Todd and Julie are confined to home detention after their guilty verdict. The couple has been given a list of rules to follow as they await sentencing.
Court documents state that Todd and Julie are to be at home “at all times” except for the following instances — “employment, education, religious service, medical, substance abuse, or mental health treatment, attorney visits, court appearances, court-ordered obligations, or other activities as pre-approved by the Court or probation officer until further notice of the Court.”
Not only do the Chrisleys have to stay at home, but they will also be monitored at all times. The docs state that they must abide by the Location Monitoring Program which includes the use of electronic monitoring equipment or other location verification system. Todd and Julie’s probation officer will also monitor “the restrictions on your movement in the community as well as other conditions of release.”
The couple also can’t spend money like they used to. The documents state that Todd and his wife are supposed to alert their probation officer if they spend anything over $1,000. The Chrisley Knows Best stars “must pay all or part of the costs of the program based upon your ability to pay as determined by the probation officer.”
Julie’s lawyer, Steve Friedberg, responded by saying the couple was disappointed and will be pursuing an appeal. He said they were grateful for all the love and support. “They both remain strong in their faith and will continue the ‘fight’ until they are vindicated. They have their priorities in order and are currently concentrating on the welfare of their children and Todd’s mother, Elizabeth ‘Nanny Faye’ Chrisley.”
Todd is father to Lindsie, 32, and Kyle, 30, from his previous marriage. The reality star and wife, Julie, share children Grayson, 16, Savannah, 24, and Chase, 26. Todd is also the caretaker of his 78-year-old mother, Nanny Faye.
One fan tweeted about Chrisley’s guilty verdict. “Trying hard to keep up with a lifestyle you never had. Do you think they both will get the max? The Feds need to come in and do a clean sweep of everything they own,” the fan tweeted. Another fan added, “I don’t think they will do much time if they don’t just stick with house arrest. None of these celebrities really serve much time.”
