Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn ‘BANNED From MTV Movie & TV Awards!’
Christine Quinn was allegedly banned from the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards where Selling Sunset won!
Former Selling Sunset, star Christine, was absent from the recent MTV Awards that happened on Sunday. The Netflix reality series won the most coveted award of the night which was Best Docu-Reality Series and Quinn was missing from the group that accepted the award. Instead, Adam Divello, the producer who Christine accused of sexual misconduct, gave the show’s acceptance speech.
Quinn was disinvited from the 2022 MTV award show at the last minute because of a series of controversial interviews she has been having about Selling Sunset producers. Last month, Christine claimed that Adam told her to kill herself while on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast. “In addition to that, I don’t want to get too much into it, but there was inappropriate sexual misconduct,” she said. The reality star also called out the show’s producers for coming up with fake storylines. “This decision didn’t come from MTV. It came from Netflix/production.”
A source told Page Six that Christine was purposely left out of the award’s guest list to avoid any drama that night. They said, “My guess is that they knew in advance that ‘Selling Sunset’ was going to win, hence why Adam [Divello] was in attendance, and it made it less sticky of a situation to not have Christine present.” Adam gave the acceptance speech while on stage with other Selling Sunset cast members including Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, and Emma Hernan.
The insider went on to explain how Quinn ended up in this situation. “The entire cast (including Christine) received a save the date from both MTV and from Netflix back in February for the event. Many conversations were had about inviting her with a plus-one, her arrival time, etc. Christine was then officially disinvited last week.” Fans of the Netflix reality show reacted to Quinn’s absence from the MTV Movie and TV Awards.
One fan tweeted, “so selling sunset wouldn’t be a show without @XtineQuinn, but she isn’t at the mtv awards? lol what.” Another person added, “I’m just going to say it. #SellingSunset won the #MTV award on the back of the hard work and talent of @XtineQuinn so it makes me sad that they get to revel in the reward without her. There is no show without her so good luck with that.” Quinn had been on Netflix’s Selling Sunset since season 1.
