Garcelle Beauvais Explains Close Friendship With Lisa Vanderpump!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Garcelle Beauvais, recently dished about how she and Lisa Vanderpump became so close. 

While speaking to The Daily Dish, Garcelle revealed how she developed a genuine friendship with Lisa Vanderpump. During Lisa’s Las Vegas restaurant opening, she was spotted next to the RHOBH star. Garcelle explained how they met at a fundraiser and began talking. “And so, we chatted and sat at the same table and talked. And I was like, ‘Hey, my son’s [Oliver Saunders] looking for a job in Vegas,’ not knowing that she even had a place in Vegas. And so it turned out, he worked for her. And we’re good.”

Beauvais, who happens to be Haitian, explained that she met Vanderpump at a fundraising event for Haiti victims she was hosting. “She was actually putting on an event for Haiti at Tom Tom. Yeah, and so I got to meet her. There was Haitian music blaring. There were more Haitians than I knew there were in California that night there. So I just fell in love with what she was doing.” Since then, the two have become closer. 

Despite what most RHOBH fans think, the two didn’t form a friendship over the reality series. Garcelle insisted that she and Lisa don’t even speak of the show. “We don’t even talk about Housewives, her and I. We don’t even talk about it. She’s not on the show. What’s there to talk about?” Speaking of the Bravo show, she noted that the ladies “have their opinion” about her relationship with Lisa. 

Lisa left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2019 after being on the show for 9 seasons. In 2021, the Vanderpump Rules star told Entertainment Tonight that she would consider coming back with Garcelle on the show. “I hear Garcelle is very nice and Sutton I hear is doing a good job.” Lisa added that she would only consider coming back if “they kind of cleaned house, then maybe. It’d be great, just Sutton, Garcelle, and me, right?”

Beauvais has spoken about Lisa coming back to the show before they even became friends. In a September 2021 interview with the Daily Mail Australia, the ‘Love Me As I Am’ author said, “I know the fans would love to see Lisa. I don’t know her but I think she’d bring the show some new energy.”
