Lisa Rinna May Quit ‘RHOBH’ After Being Slammed For ‘Tone Deaf’ Remarks!
Lisa Rinna is reportedly considering walking away from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after she was slammed for making “out of touch” comments on the Bravo show. SoapDirt is reporting that Season 12 might be the last for the actress—who has been dishing up drama since joining the cast in 2014.
The news comes after Rinna was hit by backlash for making tone-deaf remarks while weighing in on Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s recent break-in. PK discussed the robbery, which had occurred two days earlier, with Rinna during a birthday dinner held in honor of Rinna’s husband, Harry Hamlin.
“They basically only got purses, 30 purses, and my watches,” PK said.
The businessman, clearly focused on the safety of his family, remarked—”I don’t really care about the f**king watches.”
“No you don’t, of course you don’t,” Rinna agreed.
Erika replied “That’s okay,” when PK noted that the most expensive watch taken “was 60 grand.”
Fans raised their eyebrows when Rinna chimed in—”You know what, that’s nothing, actually.”
Viewers immediately began sounding off about Rinna’s blasé remark.
One Twitter user wrote—”60 grand is nothing, Lisa. Really? So out of touch with reality.”
Another tweeted—”Jesus these privileged, a******s are tone-deaf.”
“60 grand is nothing? Lord have mercy!” another declared.
Fans will watch Rinna handle the death of her mother, Lois, who passed away in late 2021, later in the season.
Rinna, who has been a full-time cast member since Season 5, has been slammed over various controversies, in recent weeks. She addressed the ongoing issue in a recent interview with Newsweek.
“The show does show you a side of me that isn’t really the side of me that everybody lives with on a daily basis,” Rinna told the mag. “I’m more fun. I’m calmer. I think the skew happens for the fan base as they think I’m much more angry and mean than I really am in life. I’m just reacting off of what I’m being thrown on the show.”
Rinna admitted that she is often called “angry” or “mean” by viewers, but attributes the backlash to unsurprising reactions to raw honesty.
Oh, I get that more than anything,” she confessed. “Because I’m honest. And I’ll tell you what, no one’s more heated than someone who’s honest. The truth is a tough pill for people to take. I’m honest and people would prefer me not to be and I’d be liked a lot more, but that’s not what you’re ever going to get. What you see is what you get with me. Most people don’t like that because they don’t want to know the truth. I think, in a nutshell, that’s why I’m so polarizing on the show. You either love me or you hate me. There’s really no in between.”
Rinna was ripped by fans for not owning up to an alleged rat-bite incident that was rumored to have occurred in her home. She was accused of being a charity event freeloader, bashed for serving a low-budget dinner to the cast for Harry’s birthday, and dragged for doxxing a man who threatened to “expose” her—and Season 12 is only four episodes deep.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
