Todd Chrisley’s daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, changed her testimony about her father while on the stand on Thursday.

When Todd’s daughter took the stand this week, she told an Atlanta jury that her father was very supportive of her. Lindsie, 32, explained that Todd was there for her during her eating disorder in 2008. Not only that, but according to her, the reality TV star was also helping to care for her brother, Kyle, who has a drug abuse problem. She explained that Kyle was struggling with drug abuse from 2009 to 2012.

Lindsie stated that her father, at the time, was only focused on his children and supporting them as they battled different conditions. “We were trying to get him help. Looking for him on the street.” The period Todd’s eldest daughter was talking about is the same time he is accused of bank and tax fraud through his business. Todd and Julie were charged with wire fraud and evading taxes and conspiracy in August of 2019. The two were accused of evading close to $2 million in taxes between 2008 and 2016.

While testifying, Lindsie revealed that her father’s priorities at the time were his “children and his wife, in that order.” When she was being cross-examined, prosecutors reminded Todd’s daughter about a different statement she made about her father. In emails revealed in court, she was begging the FBI to help her get a restraining order against The Chrisley Knows Best star.

In 2020, Lindsie wrote that Todd was harassing her and threatening to exploit her. “I am in no way, shape, or form connected to this monster,” she wrote. Lindsie, who is Todd’s daughter from a previous marriage, evaded questions about her reaching out to the FBI. Instead of answering the questions, she responded sarcastically until the jury burst out laughing. “You’re not doing anybody any favors by answering questions like that,” Judge Eleanor Ross eventually interrupted. “Trust me. Trust me.”

Lindsie explained to the jury that she had not spoken to her father for years before they met up in 2019. During their meeting at Rib Shack, she thought he was going to apologize for their past issues. However, Todd met up with her to let her know about the indictment. Two months later, she told investigators that her father and brother were threatening to release her sex tape. However, while on the stand on Thursday, she said she doesn’t think now that Todd was involved in any way within the extortion and that there was never a sex tape.
