Shannon Beador Slammed For Hanging Out With Kelly Dodd!
Shannon Beador has been hit by backlash for spending time with her former Real Housewives of Orange County co-star, Kelly Dodd, over the weekend.
Shannon, 58, and Kelly, 46, joined former Flipping Out designer, Jeff Lewis, and his boyfriend, Irish chef, Stuart O-Keefe, over Memorial Day weekend, at the couple’s “Chumporial Day Party” in Los Angeles.
Shannon shared lots of festive photos from the Sunday soiree, but caught flack from some of her followers, who weren’t pleased to see Shannon having fun with the controversial ex “Housewife.” Kelly came under recent fire for comparing the Uvalde, Texas elementary school massacre to September 11. Popular podcaster, Heather McDonald, also attended the bash and received similar critical feedback for her choice of friends.
“I thought you were better than this, @shannonbeador and @heathermcdonald. Hanging with Kelly Dodd? Hanging with Kelly Dodd? Seriously? 🙄” one critic wrote.
“Really Shannon you’re still friends with Kelly? After the things she said about the school shooting in Uvalde. You are the company you keep,” another person commented under Shannon’s photo series.
“@shannonbeador still hanging out with Kelly Dodd 🤔 not a good look. I guess you’re showing us who you really are…. Guilty by association. Definitely not my favorite RHOC member anymore,” another Instagram user surmised.
“The fact that you and @jljefflewis hang out with Kelly Dodd says a lot about you both…and it’s not good,” another fan pointed out.
Not everyone had harsh words to say about the duo keeping in touch after Kelly was axed from the Bravo show, about a year ago.
“Pretty girls 😍Kelly never looked so good and happy nice to see your friends 👏👏👏❤️,” one fan wrote.
Another said—“I’m so happy you and Kelly are still friends ♥️.”

Kelly tied September 11th to the Robb Elementary school shooting when she posted a graphic that suggested that the government should “secure the schools” in the same fashion as they “secured the cockpits” after 9/11.
“We have to be proactive to stop another shooting from happening, that’s all I meant,” Kelly clarified via a Sunday Instagram video. “Of course I have empathy. I’m a mother too. I feel horrible for those little kids and those families. This should’ve never happened, and it should never happen again.”
Kelly and Shannon made headlines in March after Kelly exposed a text sent by Shannon, which seemingly cosigned a fan suggesting that she return to the series to “rip Heather [Dubrow] Gina [Kirschenheiter] and Emily [Simpson] a new one,” alongside the RHOC veteran.
“The reining [queen] of OC. Longest running on the cast and probably the highest paid. All the storylines point back to you which is why Heather, Gina, and Emily have to gang up on you. They’re threatened. All that money Heather has she will never be you. She will never have a real authentic storyline. As much as I was happy they let Kelly Dodd go and put her on time out for her [reckless] comments, it’s time we bring her back for [season 17] to rip Heather, Gina, and Emily a new one.
