Tamra Judge Believes That ‘RHOBH’ Star Diana Jenkins Will Turn Off Fans!
Fans recently met the newest Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, Diana Jenkins, but some have doubts that viewers will be able to relate to the wealthy philanthropist. Diana was confused when Crystal Kung Minkoff mentioned scouting discount fashion and told cameras that top-notch designer pieces come to her, not the other way round. The show also featured Diana’s team preparing her hotel room ahead of her arrival, taking attention to luxurious detail to the next level.
While the network’s “Housewives” formula typically includes affluence and glamour, Bravo alum, Tamra Judge, speculated that Bravo may have gone too far, during the May 22 episode of “Two Ts In a Pod,” the podcast she co-hosts with Teddi Mellencamp.
“She doesn’t know what an outlet shore is, she doesn’t shop — she has people do it for her, which good for her, whatever. And then she sends people to her hotel room to make sure that her back is away from the door and all these things. To me, it’s not relatable and it’s going to turn people off,” Tamra said.
Teddi shared that she found Diana entertaining.
The RHOBH alum said—“I think when you look at the show as like a lifestyle show there’s things that she said which are really funny and you’re like what but then there are also things they’re going to get under your skin.”
Tamra clarified that she had no personal issue with the RHOBH rookie.
“I’m not saying I dislike her, I’m just saying if the whole season is going to go like this, she’s going to get a lot of hate,” the former Bravo star said.
Tamra pointed out that Diana gave Crystal’s relatability factor a boost during their revealing chat about outlet malls.
Kyle Richards chimed in on the Bravo newbie during a March interview with People. The reality TV veteran called her new co-star “extremely smart, opinionated, outspoken, [and] beautiful.”
“She’s somebody who you look at her, and you think, ‘My God, this woman. Talk about over the top.’ She’s very extra,” Kyle said. “She admits that herself, but she also is someone — she comes from Bosnia. She’s someone who’s been through war and seen all that — so she’s a very multi-dimensional woman and I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.”
Erika Jayne spoke to Entertainment Tonight in May, weighing in on the RHOBH newbie.
“You talk about someone who gives no fs? That’s like on a mega level,” she quipped.
Erika gave a mini backstory about Diana calling herself a “villain” in the Season 12 trailer.
“I think you’ll see something between Sutton and Diana that hurt Diana’s feelings very much and I think that’s what you’re seeing is the reaction to that because Diana’s feelings were very hurt and I understand why,” Erika revealed.
Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
