Kandi Burruss PISSED With Andy Cohen Over This Question Involving Her Ex!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandi Burruss, revealed that Andy Cohen rubbed her the wrong way when he publicly asked her teenage daughter, Riley, about her relationship with her estranged father, during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Kandi opened up about how she felt about the question during a Friday appearance on ‘The Slut Pig Podcast.’
“I didn’t say anything to him about it, but I didn’t really like when he brought up my daughter’s father to her on camera on ‘Live,’” Kandi said when asked about the last time she was “upset” with the Bravo executive.
The singer/songwriter added that her disappointment was heightened by the fact that the 19-year-old had stepped in as the WWHL bartender for the episode, as a favor.
“She just so happened to be the bartender,” Kandi explained. “There was somebody else that was supposed to be the bartender, but they were late. [Riley] was there, so they were like, ‘Oh, you wanna be the bartender?’”
Kandi clarified that no one prepped Riley for the line of questioning, so she was taken by surprise.
“It wasn’t like she was prepped or anything, so it kind of caught her off guard,” the Bravo star said.
The Xscape artist added that Riley’s relationship with her father is a “sensitive subject.”
Cohen, 53, asked about the teen’s relationship with her dad, music producer Russell “Block” Spencer, halfway through Sunday’s episode.
“Has your relationship with your dad improved at all?” the Bravo boss asked.
“I don’t remember the last time I spoke to him, so that answers that question,” Riley responded.

Kandi shared on her podcast that she believed that her daughter “handled” the awkward moment.
Riley spoke about her father during the premiere episode of Season 13, which aired in December 2020. The college-bound teen asked her mother about the child support she was owed by her father, before leaving Georgia for New York City.
“OK, well, I feel like my father never really did anything. It’s time for him to at least provide something when I’m going away to college,” Riley said at the time.
Kandi announced that she had won her case against Spencer during the April 2021 RHOA reunion series.
“They basically say he got to pay his back child support, so they’re giving him some time to give a lump sum now, and then he has to start paying the monthly back,” she revealed.
Riley made headlines last month when she clapped back at her father after he claimed that she was jealous of her siblings.
Spencer did an interview with Vlad TV and shared that his relationship with Riley was “coming along” after hitting some bumps during her teen years.
He added—“I feel a lot of people get in her head as in there’s a lot of jealousy because all my kids live with me. I got three daughters and three boys. Every last one of them lives with me except Riley.”
The Shaderoom posted Spencer’s comments and Riley fired back.
“My mom and I always try to take the high road,” the college student wrote. “But honestly it’s really upsetting that I constantly have to see you badmouthing us publicly. I was blessed to be raised in a household where my mom provided the best life I could have. No jealousy here.”
