Kailyn Lowry revealed shocking details about her relationship with ex, Chris Lopez!

During the Teen Mom reunion special, Kailyn broke down in tears when she was asked why she went into therapy. Dr. Drew Pinsky asked, “Was it like a domestic abuse situation, was it just a random act of violence, was it somebody you knew?” Lowry responded, “Chris almost killed me in October 2019 by domestic violence. I  just haven’t figured out the right time or way to tell my whole story.”

Kailyn said she doesn’t think it’s something people openly talk about. The mother of two said she felt like a “hypocrite” since she had pushed her ex, Javi Marroquin, in 2012. However, host Dr.Drew quickly disagreed, saying they are completely different cases. Before it was Chris’s turn to appear on the show, Kailyn added, “He knows what he did. It is what it is.” The former couple share two children together — Lux, 5, and Creed, 1.

Chris appeared on a Livelink later on in the reunion episode. Dr. Drew asked him about his relationship with the mother of his children. “There are faults on both sides. Whatever has been said about me from her can literally be said about them. There’s been abuse on both sides.” Drew didn’t stop there and asked Lopez if he ever threatened or injured Kailyn. Chris responded, “Injure? No. She’s making it seem like I literally beat her… I never beat her.” He did admit to threatening her and said he wasn’t completely innocent in the situation.

According to court documents obtained earlier this year by The Sun, Kailyn had a Protection from Abuse order against Chris at the time of their incident. On the transcript, when she was asked why she had a protective order against her ex, Kailyn said, “Chris tried to kill me in October 2019.” However, the rest of the information about the incident on the documents is redacted.

In a recent interview, Kailyn revealed to Perez Hilton that she wouldn’t continue filming for the MTV reality show. “I think this needs to be my farewell. I think I’m ready, I think that we should just part ways, I think this should just be the end,” she said. She also spoke about the show’s low ratings as a reason it should end. “Teen Mom, you know the ratings are really dropping for us… I feel like there does come a time where it’s run its course, and I think that goes for every reality show.”
