Marlo Hampton Building Massive Georgia Mansion…Bigger Than Moore Manor & Chateau Sheree!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Marlo Hampton revealed construction plans for her Georgia mansion, and it’s going to be massive!
Last year, Marlo Hampton, talked about building her own home. She told viewers that she wants to build her mansion from the ground up just like several other housewives before her have done. In a clip from the May 22 episode, Marlo visits her home’s construction site in Decatur, Georgia.
The reality star met with her builder, Patrick, and brought along a few of her Real Housewives castmates. Marlo invited Kenya Moore and Shereé Whitfield, both of who have prior experience building their own homes from the ground up. Shereé, alone, spent years building her house, Chateau Shereé, which features an entertainment room, bar, spa room, and lounge area. Kenya also spent years building her house, The Moore Manor, and picked up a few things along the way.
Marlo spoke in an interview about her choice of friends to take to view her house under construction. “Why would I not invite these two over to give me their advice?” she asked. “They have been through it building their homes. What I do hope is that I’ll learn more from their success instead of their mistakes.”
Hampton revealed during the clip that her home will have a grand entrance and a closet the size of a department store. Her mansion will also have a lounge area.
Marlo has been open about wanting to move into her own home. She currently lives in a beautiful townhouse. It boasts of a lavish dining room, dramatic lounge-like living room, and an expansive walk-in closet.
Marlo’s current home also has a huge closet similar to the one she is planning in her new home. She said about the size, “It’s never about the size of your closet. It’s about the pieces and the items that are in your closet.” The RHOA star’s closet boasts multiple floor-to-ceiling shelving units dedicated to shoe storage, plus several sunglasses and bags.
Marlo has shared a few photos of her new project with her followers on Instagram and many expressed their happiness for her. “Hey Marlo you’re doing a fantastic job love ya sis.” Another said, “When you started doing construction on your town home and updating it. I said to myself, oh she’s getting it market ready so she can sell/rent it and build her new forever home. Congratulations to you, you deserve it.”
