Kenya Moore Forced To Address RHOA’s POOR Ratings!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has failed to bring in big numbers thus far — and longtime cast member, Kenya Moore, is weighing in on the lackluster start to Season 14.

The once popular series typically rakes in over a million views per episode, but the first three episodes have failed to meet expectations. Instagram account, “The Real Housewives Franchise,” shared that the debut episode brought in 933,000 viewers. The stat reportedly marks the show’s “lowest live-viewed episode in the history of RHOA.”

Things have only gotten worse for the Georgia franchise, as the third episode, which aired on May 15, only brought in 850,000 viewers. RHOA has been among the highest rated “Housewives” franchises in years past.

Fans are beginning to sound off about the less than impressive ratings, and Kenya Moore stepped in to give her take on what she believed was behind the low numbers, on Tuesday.

“I’m still so shocked at these ratings! Bravo must be kicking themselves that their highest rated show has fallen so hard,” the fan wrote, on Twitter.

Kenya replied to the viewer, pointing out that the series was competing against other popular shows, airing in the same time slot.

“We were up against BMA and NBA Finals next week will be even better. It’s a great season,” Kenya tweeted.

Fans know that the departure of Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams forced production to revamp a formula that was already in a downslide.

Porsha Williams threw some shade from the sidelines last week after Twitter user, “Top Tier Housewives,” posted a ratings jab over a throwback clip of NeNe Leakes referencing the former RHOA star. The tweet got back to Porsha who responded with a kiss emoji, seemingly implying that she had been following the ratings drop.

Interestingly,Kandi Burruss previously promised fans that the upcoming season would not disappoint, amid the preseason cast shakeup.

“When we got ready to start the season, I was a little nervous because I’m like, ‘OK, we are losing two peaches that are very important to the franchise. How’s that gonna go?’” Kandi shared on a March episode of Us Weekly’s ‘Getting Real With the Housewives’ podcast. “But let me tell you, no diss to them, this season is going to be way better than the last few. I would say it’s a really, really good season and I’m excited for people to watch.”

Kandi Burruss referenced a conflict with Marlo Hampton, which will play out later this season.

“[This season] was stressful to me with a whole argument with Marlo,” Kandi teased. “We were saying things that were very below the belt at each other, we were throwing some really low blows.”

“I was the main one saying that Marlo should get a peach. I kept telling everybody that and so when she got her peach, I was excited for her. I was not expecting for me and her to bump heads. That was the last thing I was expecting,” the reality star dished. “If you can roll back to when she first came on the show in season four, she and I bumped heads then, so it was similar to that, but a little worse.”
