‘RHONJ’ Fans BLAST Melissa Gorga For Saying She Carried The Show!

Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are putting Melissa Gorga on blast after she and husband, Joe Gorga, claimed that they carried the show during Teresa Giudice’s time in prison.

Joe joined Melissa on a recent episode of her podcast, “Melissa Gorga on Display” and the pair explained why they believed that Teresa should be grateful that they landed on RHONJ. Teresa has made it known on multiple occasions that she wasn’t thrilled when Bravo invited her sister-in-law to join the cast.

Melissa explained that while Teresa was in prison the network worked to recast the show, keeping only herself and her sister-in-law. 

“How about being grateful that Joe and I, that we’re still here and we kept the core of that show together so that when she got out we were able to cast all of these new people…” Melissa said. 

“We kept the core of this show going, or else it would’ve just turned into the show that she had for three episodes–which was like the Teresa went to prison show, which Joe Giudice did on his own,” she added.

Joe chimed in, commenting—“You’re being too nice, honey,” adding that his sister owed him a “thank you.”

“How about ‘thank you’ because when she’s in prison, Joe [Giudice] wasn’t working at all either, so they had no income,” he remarked. “If we weren’t on the show their kids would not still be living in that house and have food and have whatever they had.”

Fans took to Twitter to slam the couple for claiming that they deserved credit for keeping RHONJ afloat while Teresa was away.  

One viewer wrote—“Joe and Melissa DID NOT carry the show while Teresa was away because there was NO SHOW til Teresa came back. They halted the show because the main star wasn’t available.”

Another commented—“I hate the producers on #RHONJ! Because YALL are the reason why Melissa thinks she is the moment, she is not even the second.”

One fan added—“Joe Gorga saying that him & Melissa saved #rhonj is crazy as hell. They actually made the show dark as hell when they came on the show.”

Another viewer chimed in—“Here’s the thing: Melissa’s never been right for RHONJ. She brings nothing. Says nothing. Does nothing. BUT I didn’t dislike her. However, after that podcast interview? Gloves are off. I have zero respect for her. Melissa Gorga, we are never, ever getting back together.”

“We just listened to the Melissa & Joe podcast and are absolutely disgusted,” another user said. “They are so obsessed with fame and get so angry at the thought of losing it, that they will try to provoke Teresa in any way that they can to keep it. They are SICK people.”

Another person asked—“who else is ready for teresa vs melissa & joe to be over? i’m tired.”

“OMG Melissa and Joe are actually saying of it wasn’t for them, Teresa couldn’t have kept her house and kids wouldn’t have food!!! OMG the delusion is insane!!!!!” a fan added. 

A viewer pointed out—“I hope Melissa Gorga reigniting a feud with Teresa backfires on her & she’s demoted or axed cuz I can’t do this feud again.”

Teresa and her ex, Joe Giudice, were convicted on charges of mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud, in 2014. Teresa’s sentence began on January 5, 2015, and she was released on December 23 of the same year. Joe checked into federal prison shortly after Teresa was released, in March 2016, and served three years. He was released from prison in March 2019 and was deported to his native Italy a few months later.
