Phaedra Parks Makes Surprise Cameo In First ‘Real Housewives of Dubai’ Sneak Peek!
The very first trailer for The Real Housewives of Dubai dropped Tuesday—and featured one unexpected surprise guest. Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Phaedra Parks, makes a cameo appearance in the preview, which teases extravagant opulence mixed with lots of “Housewives” drama.
“Give me the tea. I’m very thirsty today,” the former Bravo star says to Caroline Brooks while sipping a cocktail.
“Phaedra, I missed you,” Brooks laughs back.
The “City of Gold” is the landscape for the network’s first international “Housewives” franchise—which will feature a new group of women navigating careers, personal relationships, and lavish lifestyles in the United Arab Emirates.
“Everything’s bigger in Dubai, and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international Housewives series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides,” executive producer, Andy Cohen, said in November about the new franchise, via a statement.
The new Bravo cast includes Brooks, Nina Ali, Chanel Ayan, Dr. Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan, and former “Ladies of London” personality, Caroline Stanbury.
“There’s a lot of wealth here, and we have a lot of gold diggers too,” Ayan quips in the teaser.
“In Dubai, the women are far from submissive. Most of the women are running this town,” Caroline Stanbury adds, in a confessional spot.
The Divorced Not Dead podcaster’s splashy return to reality TV will feature her wedding to Sergio Carallo. Stanbury faces a hurdle when her boyfriend, a Real Madrid soccer player, informs her that he wants biological children.
Brooks’ storyline will focus on a new spa venture, which she calls “the glam central of Dubai.” She reveals her ex-husband’s plan to develop the property, and her ex-boyfriend’s plan to invest in her business, during a cast dinner.
“It’s very expensive to cheat on me,” Brooks jokes in a personal interview spot. “Ask my exes.”
Milan pulls together her first fashion show during Season 1, featuring her maternity clothing line, Mina Roe. The former “Miss Jamaica” struggles to juggle her busy career and her three sons.
The show will also follow Ayan’s evolving modeling career. Ayan, Dubai’s first black supermodel, opens up about connecting with her husband after enduring a difficult childhood, in the sneak peek.
Dr. Al Madani is a successful career woman but struggles in the love department as a two-time divorcee. Madani, who launched her business as a teenager, is still on the hunt for true love. The mother of three notes that her workload has “doubled if not tripled” amid her successful business career. She becomes emotional over “pressure from [her] family” in the Bravo teaser.
