Garcelle Beauvais Speaks Out On Tense Relationship With Lisa Rinna!

Garcelle Beauvais likened her relationship with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Lisa Rinna, to a soured romance when speaking to Page Six, earlier this week.

“There are tensions, so it’s like seeing an ex-boyfriend,” the Bravo star told the outlet Monday at the 2022 NBCUniversal upfront at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York City.

Garcelle, 55, added that she didn’t know how to describe the pair’s current friendship, as she hadn’t seen Rinna, 58, in a long time.

The Bravo ladies are scheduled to present an award together at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, on June 5. The reality series is nominated for Best Docu-Reality Show.

Garcelle shared that she expects backstage conversation with Rinna to be “quiet.”

“We haven’t done that yet, but I’m sure it will be [super uncomfortable] because we don’t want to give anything away because of the reunion,” Garcelle said, implying that the ladies planned to hold back until they face off on the reunion stage.

Garcelle and Rinna had been friendly for decades ahead of their time on RHOBH—but Garcelle appeared detached when asked if she hoped to revive her relationship with her old friend.

“We have to see how it plays out this season. I don’t want to jump the gun, I don’t know,” she said. “I just feel like we have to see where we land by the reunion. We see the episodes two days before they come out, so you don’t really get to see an entire season and see how it plays out.”

Garcelle and Rinna first clashed over how Rinna treated Denise Richards throughout Season 10. The former co-host of “The Real” spoke out against Rinna’s decision to expose Denise’s alleged hookup with RHOBH alum, Brandi Glanville.

Rinna took Garcelle to task the following season, for not offering enough thanks to her husband, Harry Hamlin after she was given a homemade jar of pasta sauce. They also butted heads after Garcelle brought up Erika Jayne’s mounting legal issues, as Rinna remained staunchly loyal to her co-star.

Meanwhile, Rinna has been feuding with Sutton Stracke, 50, a close friend of Garcelle’s, on social media. The premiere episode featured Rinna dissing Sutton for publicly announcing that Rinna and Hamlin had never properly thanked her for inviting them to an annual Oscars charity event, hosted by Elton John.

Rinna took to her Instagram Stories to declare that she and her husband had been attending the event since 2006, and were “never guests of Sutton Stracke ever.” Rinna has since called her co-star a “gold digger,” and claimed that her wealth was accumulated solely from her divorce from wealthy financier, Christian Stracke.

Rinna fired off the insult after Sutton took a shot at Erika, 50, commenting that she was only interested in dating rich men, after splitting from her husband, disbarred attorney, Tom Girardi.

“It’s unfortunate because I feel that Sutton’s always getting the brunt of it,” Garcelle said of Rinna’s social media attacks. “But [Sutton] is stronger than you think.”

Garcelle hinted that Sutton stands up to both Rinna and Erika, as Season 12 unfolds.

“I’m happy that you’re finally seeing her stand up,” Garcelle said. “It’s great.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
