Teddi Mellencamp took to social media to set the record straight on whether Dorit Kemsley’s home was set up with a security system from her husband, Edwin Arroyave’s security company, ahead of their October burglary.

Fans speculated for months about why the alarm didn’t go off during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s break-in. Teddi confirmed on her Instagram Story that Edwin’s “company did not do Dorit’s alarm or security system.”

Dorit’s former co-star captioned a screenshot of the reality star’s recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” writing—“Twitter, now you can take a breath.”

Dorit, 45, revealed during her WWHL appearance that she had turned off the security system because her young children often wandered downstairs in the middle of the night, which could trigger the alarm.

Both Dorit and Teddi, 40, were slammed with tweets asking for clarity. Many fans theorized that Dorit was trying to avoid pointing a finger at Edwin’s company.

One Twitter user wrote—“I’m not buying Dorit‘s story about the alarm being off. I think the alarm didn’t work and she doesn’t want to throw Teddi and Edwin under the bus.”

“I do not believe the story about Dorit’s alarm being off. Sounds like she’s covering for Teddi,” another tweeted.

Teddi joined several current RHOBH cast members to offer love and support to Dorit, after the harrowing experience.

Dorit opened up about the scary episode during the season premiere of Season 12. Dorit warned fans on social media that the first episode would focus on the incident.

“Having to relive it all again has triggered a lot of emotions…PK was still in London at the time and these phenomenal women rushed to my home upon hearing the news,’ she captioned a photo that included Teddi, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, and Lisa Rinna.

“The support of these women and the outpour of love I received from everyone was pivotal. At the time, I was completely broken and doing my best to hold it together for the sake of my family,” the Bravo star captioned the photo.

Dorit added—“Waking up that morning and seeing these women in my living room gave me a sense of comfort and strength I thought impossible. As I relive this horrific event with all of you, it resurfaces the terror of that night, but equally resurfaces my gratitude and I know it’s the latter that will stay with me forever.”

Dorit wept while she described begging for her life and for the lives of her two children, during the RHOBH premiere.

“When they came into my bedroom, when he had a gun to my head, I thought ‘This is it. This is how I’m going to die,’” Dorit said in a confessional spot. “I begged them and I told them, ‘Let me help you. I’ll show you where everything is. Just please, please, God. Please don’t hurt my kids. They need their mommy.’”

“I thought this is it,” Dorit said. “This is how I’m going to die.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 pm, ET, on Bravo.
