Melissa Gorga Says She Feels ‘No Guilt’ After Ending Friendship With Teresa Giudice!

Melissa Gorga revealed that she has no regrets over her failed friendship with Teresa Giudice. 

In a May 16 interview, on the Betches Mention It All, podcast, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member opened up about her true relationship with Teresa. Melissa said that despite giving it her all with their friendship, it just didn’t work out. 

Melissa also added that she’s feeling free after their meeting during The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 reunion. “It’s OK to say that we don’t have the best relationship and I don’t feel guilty saying that because I tried really hard and know that I tried hard — for my in-laws and for Joe,” she said.

Joe Gorga’s wife added that she always wanted to have a good relationship with Teresa from the start. “When I went back and watched Ultimate Girls Trip, I was watching some of the scenes they filmed Teresa and I together on the plane and we were in the car, and I remember looking at her and genuinely saying, ‘This is exciting that we get to do this together and this is something fun. We’ll have these memories that we did something fun for when we get older.’”

However, Melissa added that Teresa responded coldly to her comment and rolled her eyes. “Between that and watching this season, I just feel like I tried and I’m good,” Melissa said. Teresa and Melissa have always had a strained relationship with Joe often being caught in the middle.

During an appearance on RHONJ: Aftershow, Melissa said that Teresa demands loyalty from her and Joe but never returns the favor. “We are very loyal and we are the ones who don’t talk about it all the time but we actually do it. I think there’s a big difference in saying, ‘I love my family. I’m loyal to my family’… and actually being the one who does something about it.”

During the reunion, Teresa had denied having any kind of relationship with co-star Melissa — “Let’s stop faking like we have a relationship [then] because you’ve proved to everyone that we don’t.” Even after Teresa apologized for her actions during season 12’s reunion, her sister-in-law didn’t change her mind. “I don’t want to talk about Teresa or the family, never again if it was up to me,” Melissa said on the podcast.
