Hip Hop mogul, Dr. Dre, was rushed to the hospital by ambulance after suffering a brain aneurysm on Monday.
On Tuesday (Jan. 5), TMZ reported that exclusive sources close to Dr. Dre told them when the 55-year-old was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A, he was taken straight to ICU where he remained on Tuesday.
The same sources reported that Dre‘s condition changed to stable and lucid, however, as of yesterday, doctors were doing multiple tests to figure out what caused the bleeding.
Later that evening, Dr. Dre, or someone managing his social media, took to Instagram to give fans a personal message, thanking them for their love and support. Under a photo of Dr. Dre in a studio, the caption read:
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
As reported, Dr. Dre is in the middle of a nasty divorce battle with his estranged wife, Nicole Young. Nicole is seeking $2 million in temporary support, to hold her over while the case plays out. She claims that she needs $100k to cover a mortgage, $10k for laundry and cleaning, $135k for clothes, $60k on tuition/living expenses, $900k for entertainment, and $125k for charitable donations. Dre says that he is currently covering his wife’s Malibu mansion and several of her expenses.
Dre is claiming that a prenuptial agreement was signed before they tied the knot and that the deal should be honored in the divorce. Nicole admits that the prenup existed, but claims that Dre tore up the deal a couple of years into their marriage. She is also seeking $5 million for attorney fees.
Both Dre and Nicole were to be due in court on Wednesday (Jan. 6) for a hearing on the issues. However, due to the nature of his health, Dre won’t be attending.
