However, like the rest of the world, the couple was soon faced with the reality of COVID-19, and the fate of their wedding hanging in the balance. Now, Robyn is giving fans an update on where she, Juan, and plans for their wedding stand.
In December 2019, Robyn announced that Juan proposed again. The proposal played out in the RHOP Season 5 finale, during the couple’s annual “Winter Wonderland” party. Soon after, Robyn and Juan‘s special moment was overshadowed by The Darbys and The Bassetts huge fight.
Following the RHOP Season 5 finale, Robyn posted a photo of the moment Juan got on one knee. In the caption, she gushed about their relationship and what her engagement ring means to her. “What a journey! Our story is deep and our love for each other is even deeper,” Robyn began in the lengthy caption.
In part three of the RHOP Season 5 reunion, Robyn revealed what kind of wedding she wants. “I would love to have a destination wedding, a small destination wedding,” she told Andy Cohen.
On The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, a fan posed the question, “Robyn and Juan, are you still getting married or did the pandemic mess up your wedding timeline?”
Robyn replied, revealing that she and Juan wanted to begin planning for the wedding earlier this year, but their dreams were quickly deferred when the coronavirus pandemic took over the world. Robyn elaborated on how the pandemic affected the Dixons‘ plans:
“[The pandemic] has postponed our plans. We wanted a destination wedding, and we were gonna begin the planning when Juan‘s basketball season was over in March. And we all know what happened in March — the pandemic hit — and now I’m still kind of trying to figure out what to do next. So we’re just enjoying our engagement.”
In 2012, high school sweethearts Robyn and Juan, who had been together since 1996, divorced after 7 years of marriage. They share two sons, Corey, 12, and Carter, 10.
