‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ Star D’Andra Simmons Hospitalized With COVID-19

D’Andra Simmons has been hospitalized with Covid-19. The Real Housewives of Dallas star has been admitted to the Covid ward at UT Southwestern Hospital according to a new report by Page Six. 

The 51-year-old reality star’s rep confirmed her diagnosis and revealed some details about her condition. 

“Her oxygen levels were borderline and she will start Remdesivir,” her rep said. “At this time we ask you to respect her and family’s privacy and to send your prayers for a speedy recovery.” 

D’Andra’s friend, Jennifer Long, first shared the news of D’Andra’s health crisis on her Instagram story, on Monday morning. Long asked fans and followers for prayers. 

D’Andra joins a long list of celebs who have been diagnosed with coronavirus in recent weeks. 

Sharon Osbourne, 68, revealed on Instagram that she had been briefly hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19, on December 14. ”I wanted to share that I’ve tested positive for Covid 19. After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while The Talk is on scheduled hiatus. Everyone please stay safe and healthy,” she shared. 

Ashanti, 40, confirmed her positive diagnosis on December 12. “Hey ya’ll I can’t believe this but I tested positive for COVID-19,” she shared, via Instagram. Her diagnosis led to the cancellation of a planned Verzuz battle with Keyshia Cole. 

Country music legend, Charley Pride, passed away from Covid complications on December 12, only one month after receiving the Country Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The first Black member of the Country Music Hall of Fame was 86 years old. Pride had 29 number one hits and won three Grammy Awards over the course of his stellar career— two for gospel and one for country. On November 11, Pride was presented with the Country Music Association’s 2020 Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dancing With the Stars judge and “The Talk” co-host, Carrie Ann Inaba, shared that she had contracted coronavirus on December 10. “I have tested positive for COVID 19,” her IG caption said. “I’m home with some symptoms and will be sequestering as per the CDC guidelines, resting and taking care of myself. I have been in a very safe environment following all the guidelines and safety protocols and it still found it’s way to me. So, this is a friendly reminder to be extra careful this holiday season. Wear your masks, socially and physically keep your distance, and wash your hands. Take care everyone. And I’ll keep you updated on my journey.” 

Ellen DeGeneres confirmed that she had tested positive on December 10. 

“I want to let you all know that I tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines. I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kyle Richards, took to Instagram on December 5 to reveal that she and her daughter, Sophia, had tested positive. “I love these people so much❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Some of you may have heard I have COVID. I got it after these photos were taken,” the family photo caption read. “Since I was diagnosed I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy. Unfortunately, Sophia also got it. We will stay in isolation until it’s safe to see the family and others again . I can’t wait to hug them ?”  

Jeremih, Jojo Siwa, Gloria Estefan, Lewis Hamilton, Arie Luyendyk Jr., Bad Bunny, Donald Trump Jr., Meghan King, and Larsa Pippen have all confirmed positive Covid-19 diagnoses in recent weeks. 

The Real Housewives of Dallas premieres on January 5 at 9 pm, ET, on Bravo.
