Condolences go out to Wendy Williams. According to reports, Wendy Williams’ mother has passed away.

According to multiple news reports, tragedy has hit Wendy Williams once again. Unofficial reports claim, Wendy Williams’ mother has passed away over the weekend.

The news broke Sunday morning on social media, with numerous friends of the Williams family sharing their condolences.

Wendy’s mother was in her 80s and the details surrounding her death have not been released but social media posts from friends of the family reveal, Shirley Williams will be missed.

One person wrote, “One of granny’s best friends for 83 years passed away….Mrs. Shirley Williams. Always available for my granny and our family, she flew in to share this beautiful speech at granny’s 100th birthday. Mr and Mrs Williams is truly what the kids now call #CouplesGoals May she rest peacefully and prayers to @wendyshow and the entire family. Fun Fact: She did not like to be called ‘Wendy’s mom’ that’s what she was just telling them not to say in the video.”

Another friend of the family shared, “I don’t know how to say this… Heaven Gained another Angel unfortunately Mrs. Shirley has passed away. She will definitely missed and one of a kind lady. Please pray for Wendy and her Family during the difficult time. Please respect the family privacy.” 

Sadly, Mama Shirley’s passing occurred just before the debut of Wendy Williams’ biopic — scheduled to be available on Lifetime next month.
