The midseason Real Housewives of Orange County trailer has dropped, and gives a glimpse into how the cast copes when coronavirus spins Season 15 into an unexpected direction. Production for the series was shut down earlier this year, and fans will watch the ladies deal with the dangerous virus and the restrictions implemented to slow the spread.

The midseason preview reveals the ladies going into lockdown, and beginning to self-shoot their segments. Shannon tests positive for Covid-19 and drama flares with her dream boyfriend, John Janssen.

“What if I die?” Shannon asks John in the sneak peek trailer.

It becomes clear that the duo’s relationship has hit some bumps when Emily Simpson tells Braunwyn Windham-Burke that there’s trouble in Shannon’s romantic paradise. Shannon admits that her relationship “wasn’t that perfect fairytale.”

Kelly Dodd confronts Braunwyn about her rumored girlfriend, and her husband, Sean Burke, sounds off about being bumped from the unconventional marriage.

“What’s going on with your girlfriend?” Kelly asks her co-star.

“I love her!” Braunwyn responds.

Tensions rise between Sean and Braunwyn, after Sean shares his concerns about their marriage.

“I’m just becoming a roommate and someone you don’t really want to be around,” he says.

Viewers will watch Gina Kirschenheiter set up her home for Zoom learning, and Emily struggle to take care of her sick husband, Shane Simpson.

Shane’s not getting any better. I [can’t] do anything to help him,” Emily shares in a self-shot confessional spot.

“Quarantine didn’t just separate us,” Braunwyn declares about the cast dynamic in a confessional spot. “It divided us.”

As reported—Braunwyn spoke to Digital Spy in October, and revealed that the Covid-19 lockdown had splintered the cast.

“I have to say that the pandemic separated us, physically, but I didn’t know how much it was going to drive us apart. It’s been very hard to keep my mouth shut. Part of the thing you do when you’re on this show is you let the story play out for the viewers,” the reality star said.

Braunwyn also spilled that she has been on the outs with the entire cast, since filming wrapped.

“Right now, I’m not speaking to any of my cast. And, you get to see how that all happens. 2020 is the most transformative year of my life,” she explained. “I let the cameras into some really real, raw moments. You come on a journey for me that I think is going to help a lot of people. I know it is.”

“When you start changing sometimes, not everyone is comfortable with [it]. You go through a big period of growth, and it made a lot of the women uncomfortable. And that’s okay,” she noted.

Kelly Dodd

Braunwyn hinted that she had lots to say about Kelly Dodd’s behavior throughout the pandemic.

“I have a lot of thoughts on [Kelly],” the mom of seven said. “I’m saving most of them for the reunion, but Kelly and I are diametrically opposed right now with our ideology. I think everyone knows that.”

Kelly was slammed by viewers for controversial Instagram commentary on the Covid crisis, and invited more criticism when she wore a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat for her bridal bash.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm, ET, on Bravo.
