‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star And Tech CEO, Spectacular Smith, Arrested After Attacking Disney World Employee!
Earlier this week, Pretty Ricky singer turned tech mastermind and Love & Hip Hop star, Spectacular Blue Smith, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a Walt Disney World employee.
On Monday night (Nov. 30), Spectacular was at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom theme park when he passed an employee, pretended to sneeze, then said, “coronavirus.” joked about COVID-19, according to the arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The employee expressed to Spectacular that the joke wasn’t funny, but the tech CEO responded, “I thought it was.” The employee clapped back with, “Then you’ll think it’s hilarious if I asked you to step out of the line.” That’s when sh*t got real.
Spectacular refused to step out of the line, resulting in an argument between him and the employee. One thing lead to another and the employee put his arm out, blocking Spectacular from moving forward in the line. That’s when Spectacular “turned and punched him on his right side jaw and right temple area,” according to the affidavit.
The employee stumbled and fell to the ground. He “was in shock and thought he might’ve lost consciousness,” the affidavit stated. He was then taken to Horizon West Hospital where he underwent a CT scan that showed he had a concussion. Witnesses say that they heard the exchange between Spec and the employee and then saw the singer punch the employee.
Spectacular was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery. He was released on a $500 bond. The Adwizar CEO took to his Instagram Stories, and wrote a lengthy message surrounding the incident, noting that “the more success you have as a black man, the bigger target you are.” Spec also made it clear that there are “2 sides to every story,” and that he’ll wait until his “attorney gives the green light.” He concluded his statement, pointing out to fans, “y’all know my character.”
Spectacular was apart of the early 2000s R&B group, Pretty Ricky, before finding his way into the tech world. He is the founder of a very successful social media marketing company, Adwizar, and entrepreneur MBA program, Spectacular Academy. He is also the mastermind behind the viral sensation, Grumpy Cat, whose brand is worth over $100 million.
