The music mogul’s lawyer wrote— “Plaintiff Nicole Young, after commencing divorce proceedings against Defendant Andre Young, seeking over $400 Million, then stealing almost $400,000.00 from an LLC that funds Defendant Young’s recording studio, draining its entire bank account, Plaintiff has decided that $400,400,000.00 and one lawsuit are not enough.”

Dre’s estate is estimated at $1 billion, and it appears that Nicole is demanding an equal cut of the fortune. Dre is claiming that a prenuptial agreement was signed before they tied the knot and that the deal should be honored in the divorce. Nicole admits that the prenup existed, but claims that Dre tore up the deal a couple of years into their marriage.

The Beats founder’s bombshell was exposed in response to Nicole’s civil lawsuit, which accuses him of transferring the rights to the trademarks attached to his name and album, “The Chronic” to a solely owned company. She alleges that she co-owns the trademarks as marital property. Dre refuted his wife’s claim, pointing out that the couple wed four years after the album was released, and that his moniker was put in place in the ’80s. Nicole alleges that Dre did not file for the trademarks until after they were married, in 1997.

“She [Nicole] is now suing Defendant Young and another LLC in a separate lawsuit, having the temerity to claim that trademarks to Defendant Young’s performing name,” Dre’s lawyer wrote.

Dre’s attorney is moving to have the case dismissed. Nicole is seeking $2 million in temporary support, to hold her over while the case plays out. She claims that she needs $100k to cover a mortgage, $10k for laundry and cleaning, $135k for clothes, $60k on tuition/living expenses, $900k for entertainment, and $125k for charitable donations. Dre says that he is currently covering his wife’s Malibu mansion and several of her expenses.

A judge has not yet ruled on the case.
