Real Housewives of Potomac star, Gizelle Bryant, has revealed that she bolted from Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Cynthia Baileys wedding after guests began removing their masks. While Bravo declined to film the ritzy affair citing Covid-19 concerns, some of the guests have been spilling behind-the-scenes tea.

The RHOP star dished to Andy Cohen about the controversial Georgia bash, and revealed why she decided to leave the event early.

“I was very nervous too…When it first started, absolutely everybody had either a shield or a mask on. But then people started eating and drinking, and that’s when it was chaos a little bit,” Gizelle told Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

Gizelle added that she made her exit before the toasts began.

“…people started taking their masks off, and I just got very nervous,” she noted.

Cynthia spoke about the event before tying the knot with sportscaster, Mike Hill, on October 10. The bride shared that 250 people were on the guest list—including Cynthia’s co-stars, Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and Eva Marcille, who all served as bridesmaids.

Cynthia assured her fans that they were committed to keeping their guests safe.

“Weddings are stressful. For me, the most stress for Mike and I has just been making sure that we’re not only following the rules and regulations but just also putting people in place to enforce them,” Cynthia said. “We’re having a large wedding. To be honest, everything that we’re doing for our wedding, 10/10/20, we would be doing if we had 50 people there. We would still be doing temperature checks, still be enforcing masks and face shields because, at the end of the day, you can get COVID at anytime, regardless of the amount of people you’re around. Everything is still a go.”

In a separate interview, the reality star detailed all of the safety protocols that had been put in place.

“Instead of focusing on the accessories in my hair or what kind of food we’re going to have, Mike and I have been putting most of our wedding energy into COVID-19 protocols. And we ain’t playin’ around.”

“If anyone doesn’t adhere to the rules, then they’re just going to be asked to leave. We’re taking this seriously, we want to protect ourselves and our guests.”

“We set up the food stations taking all of this into consideration, and you don’t have to sit at a table with people you don’t know, you can kind of move around. It’s a huge space, so you can be as far away from people as you want while still feeling connected to the ceremony.”

Cynthia was reportedly crushed to learn that Bravo had backed out of filming the event, amid concern about her upcoming RHOA storyline.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is on hiatus.
