Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is finally getting the justice she deserves months after she was shot in the foot by singer Tory Lanez.
Both Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez have given different accounts on what happened that night. A month following the incident, Megan took to Instagram Live where she named Tory Lanez as the shooter. “Yes, this n***a Tory shot me. You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to these blogs lying and sh*t, stop lying!” she exclaimed on camera.
However, just last month, Tory released his fifth studio album, Daystar, in which he uses nearly every song to tell his side of the story. Tory completely denied shooting Megan and claimed she and her team were “trying to frame him.” On the track, “Money Over Fallouts”, Tory raps, “How you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons.”
Well, the L.A. County D.A.’s Office felt otherwise and officially charged Tory Lanez with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, according to TMZ.
If Tory Lanez gets convicted, he faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison.
As far as Megan, she seems to be back in good spirits. On October 3, the “WAP” rapper made her debut as the musical guest for Saturday Night Live’s season 46 opener.
