Real Housewives of New York City  is in Bethenny Frankel’s rear view mirror — and the departed reality star melted down, after a top producer said that the cast would shine without her.

Bethenny Frankel bashed the Bravo series as a ratings flop in a recent TV interview, hinting that the show took a hit when she made her exit, after being on the cast for eight years.

It appears that Bethenny Frankel doesn’t like being out of spotlight.

“She’s jealous [because] she’s not on still. She made a rash decision [to leave] and she misses the limelight of it all,” a production source dished to Page Six. “And she can’t believe it will be as successful without her and may be better.”

The insider said that Bethenny threw a fit last November after hearing that  producer, Barrie Bernstein, said at BravoCon—the network’s first reality TV convention—that the ladies “don’t need Bethenny.

Bethenny Frankel announced that she would be quitting the show in August. The Skinnygirl mogul did not appear on Seasons 4 through 6.

Bernstein spoke about the cast chemistry at the event—without Bethenny in the mix.

Bethenny of course is Bethenny. We did three seasons without her in the middle, it was successful, a lot of fun, some of the best trips,” Bernstein said. “And the ladies, they’ve done this for a while, and they don’t need Bethenny. I think this season we’re really excited to shine that.”

The source snitched that Bethenny did not react well to Bernstein’s comments.

Bethenny got wind of it, got very angry and blocked [Bernstein] from her phone,” the insider revealed.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Thursday nights, at 9 pm, ET, on Bravo.
