Quarantined Andy Cohen Misses His Son Most While Battling Coronavirus!
Andy Cohen called into Jeff Lewis’ SiriusXM show this week to share an update on his battle with coronavirus.
The Watch What Happens Live host opened up about the care of his son Benjamin Cohen while he recovers from coronavirus.
“By my calculation, I’m in Day 6 of this. So I’m quarantined in my room and I feel like it’s definitely working its was through my body… I’ll tell you what I know from the nanny cam and from video. I can’t see him, which is the very worst part. He’s great and his nanny [tested] negative,” he said, noting that if the nanny had her way, “I think she would come in here and hose me down with Clorox if she could.”
Andy Cohen confirmed that he’s experienced “horrible” symptoms like a lack of appetite, which has led to some weight loss, and no sense of smell, though, he noted, it comes in waves of good moments and bad ones.
“Two days ago, before I went to bed, I took a shower and I was walking into the shower and I looked at myself and said, ‘Holy s–t, you look great,’” he joked about losing weight due to the illness.
He said, “I saw a picture of a pizza yesterday [and] I was like, ‘I can’t wait to eat pizza’ … When I get better, I’m going to gain so much weight. It’s bound to happen.”
Andy Cohen announced his coronavirus diagnosis on Instagram on Friday, March 20.
“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus. As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better,” Andy wrote. “I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.”
Housewives reunions and Watch What Happens Live tapings have all been suspended.
