The Married to Medicine creator and executive producer posted photos from the event — including some with her husband, Aydin Huq, contestants from the Miss Tennessee pageant, and the Reverend Sharpton. The award was also given to Bishop Kevin Adams.
“Thank you @real_sharpton for delivering such a profound message yesterday. Thanks #NAACP Chattanooga Chapter for hosting such an awesome event & recognizing civic & community leaders. Congrats to all the honorees & to my fellow 2019 Humanitarian of the year Award Recipient Bishop Kevin Adams. It was an absolute honor to be amongst all of you. Onward & Upward. Much more work to do!”
