Beth Chapman of A&E’s Dog the Bounty Hunter fame died Wednesday in a Honolulu hospital.

Her husband Duane “Dog” Chapman confirmed the news via Twitter, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.” He tweeted on June 26.

Beth Chapman, 51, was recently placed in a medically induced coma as she battled lung cancer.

Chapman and her husband hunted fugitives on A&E’s hit reality show, Dog the Bounty Hunter, which chronicled the adventures of their family-owned bounty hunting business and aired from 2004 to 2012.

Born in Denver, Colorado, Beth Chapman was the youngest woman to ever to receive a bail license in her home state, a record that was later broken by her daughter, Baby Lyssa.

The couple raised 12 children together and split their time between homes in Hawaii and Colorado.

In September 2017, Beth announced she was diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer. Then later revealed the cancer had been removed and she was cancer free. But the disease returned last year in her lungs.
