The reality star made the big reveal via Instagram — she posted her DNA results with a lengthy caption describing her views on how she racially identifies:
“My ancestry results. First let me clarify for those that don’t understand black culture, I never thought I was 100% black with zero European ancestry whatsoever. I always understood that everyone in my family descended from the evil white slavemasters that raped slaves for hundreds of years. In fact, most African Americans will have some percentage of European ancestry, whether its 5, 16, 28, or 59%, its almost inevitable.”
She continues: “So now that I know that I am 59% European, am I all of a sudden going to consider myself “mixed” or “biracial”??? HELL NO!!! I was raised in a proud black family and will always be a proud black woman!!! ❤️❤️❤️I strongly suggest that everyone take an ancestry test. I used ancestry.com. It’s very enlightening. And please, learn our history! I hope you enjoyed episode 5. Visiting the Whitney Plantation was truly one of the most poignant experiences of my life. #RHOP 🌸.”
In her caption, Robyn makes it clear that despite the test results, she considers herself black.
According to the mom of two, if you have a single drop of black blood in your veins, that makes you black. “First let me clarify for those that don’t understand black culture, I never thought I was 100% black with zero European ancestry whatsoever,” she asserted.
Katie previously labeled, Gizelle and Robyn, biracial and both ladies were insulted by the fact that Katie didn’t believe them when they denied being biracial. Robyn explicitly said she had no direct white ancestors — and Katie perceived her comments as a slight to being biracial.
On Wednesday, Katie responded to Robyn’s DNA reveal and she’s not pleased that she wasn’t given the opportunity to engage in talking head confessionals on The Real Housewives of Potomac to discuss Robyn’s European ancestry. “Ok, I AM just as pissed off as everyone else that I didn’t get a chance to have confessionals on
#RHOP and discuss @RobynDixonRHOP and her reveal as being mostly European. She shamed me and my children season 1 for being mixed. It hurt me! It’s a colorism issue left unresolved.” Katie tweeted on June 5.

During season one, Katie maintained that Robyn and Gizelle were “obsessed” with race and used the word “racist” to describe the two ladies.
