Jeff Lewis’ Baby Doctor Sides With Surrogate in Legal Battle!

The doctor who delivered Jeff Lewis’ baby is supporting the surrogate who’s suing the Flipping Out star for invasion of privacy and fraud.

As reported, Alexandra Trent filed a lawsuit in June against Bravo, Authentic Entertainment, Lewis and Gage Edwards. In the suit, Trent accuses Authentic Entertainment of filming the birth and her vagina without her permission. Additionally, Jeff Lewis and Edward made “disgusting” comments about her unshaven genitalia.

“If I was a surrogate, and I had known there was going to be an audience, I probably would have waxed. And that was the shocking part for Gage. I don’t think Gage had ever seen a vagina, let alone one that big.” Edwards said during a talking head confessional about the mother of his child.

Dr. Lindsey Cafferata filed a declaration in support of Alexandra Trent, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. The doctor said that during an office visit, she “heard Ms. Trent inform the show producers that she did not want to be filmed while she gave birth as she did not want her reproductive organs displayed on television.”

The OB-GYN claims Jeff Lewis and Edwards told her that they wanted to “film the birth for home use” but the video would not appear on the show.

Additionally, Dr. Cafferata claims producers informed her that “that there would be no filming during the birth.”

The doctor’s statements support the surrogate’s assertions made in an earlier declaration:

“On the day of the birth, I [Alexandra Trent] assumed my statement was being respected as I did not see any cameras in the labor room before labor started. I was also not notified by Defendants that they were going to film the birth as they had done previously with other medical procedures. It appears from the show episode that Defendants were filming the birth from behind a curtain.”

Trent claims the release she signed was only for a “single appearance” and was told the pregnancy and birth would be covered by another release agreement.

She claims to have been very clear during later conversations that she did not want the birth filmed. Trent says when they presented her with another release, she refused to sign it.

Trent is seeking unspecified damages for seeking damages for unlawful recording, invasion of privacy and fraud.

As reportedJeff Lewis is fighting back against a lawsuit filed by his former surrogate. Lewis’ legal team asserts the plaintiff, Alexandra Trent, signed an agreement allowing herself to be filmed — thus forfeiting her rights to how her image would be portrayed on screen. He also claims producers did not divulge any private information that was not meant to be made public, and what he said was not highly offensive.
