Jorge Nava Gets 2.5 Years for Weed Bust!

90 Day Fiance star, Jorge Nava, has been sentenced to 2.5 years in prison over a drug bust!

In February 2018, the reality star was arrested with almost 300 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. Jorge’s lawyer managed to get the original class 2 felony charge reduced to a class 4 — which saved him from a possible 24 years in prison.

Jorge was arrested for allegedly trying to sell 293 pounds of weed — but the ex-reality star still doesn’t believe the punishment fits the crime. Jorge thinks that the sentence is too harsh — noting that medicinal marijuana is legal in Arizona — the state where he was busted. Brad Rideout, Jorge’s lawyer, told the outlet that the judge delivered the max sentence the plea deal allowed because of Jorge’s prior record, and the large amount of marijuana in play. Jorge is expected to receive up to 5 months parole, upon his release.

On Anfisa’s Youtube channel, Jorge explained his side of the weed bust. According to the Mexican native, he was racially profiled by the cop, who Jorge claims had no legal grounds to pull his car over.

Jorge Nava delivered an interesting marriage update, revealing that he and Russian wife, Anfisa Arkhipchenko, are going strong. He said that Anfisa has been supportive throughout the legal drama, and that he does not expect a split. The couple’s rocky romance was chronicled on the TLC reality show.

It looks like Anfisa has lots of prison visits ahead of her — do you think she’ll hang in there?

The current cycle of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days continues Sunday night at 8 pm, ET, on TLC.
