The Real Housewives of New York City reunion was filmed on Tuesday, and according to a new report, Bethenny Frankel was put soundly in her place by former bestie, Carole Radziwill.
“Carole brought receipts to the reunion exposing Bethenny’s lies, one after another,” the source spilled. “Bethenny brought a purple file folder that she had next to her. Whatever was in there will never be known because Bethenny kept looking at it frantically and putting it down. Bethenny accused Carole of writing an article or something about Luann. When Carole said ‘show it to me,’ Bethenny wouldn’t. Carole said, ‘you’re lying.’ It was a verbal fight.” Reports US Magazine.
Another tipster reports that while Carole “looked stressed and intense” during the verbal smackdown, Bethenny “was smiling and laughing.”
So what was in the mysterious purple folder? According to a production snitch, the folder contained a collection of Carole’s scathing Bravo blogs—the weekly lashings designed to hold Bethenny accountable for her unfolding actions.
“At some points it was everybody versus Bethenny, except Sonja,” the insider added. “She’s the only one consistently on Bethenny’s side.”
Fans watched the friendship between Bethenny, 47, and Carole, 54, unravel, after Bethenny shaded Carole’s ex, Adam Kenworthy, for requiring payment to document one of Bethenny’s relief trips to Puerto Rico.
Fans know that Luann de Lesseps was a no-show at the RHONY reunion, because she recently checked back into a rehab facility, to tackle substance abuse issues. Reportedly, the unexpected twist “messed up” the cast seating arrangement. Ramona was forced to sit on Team Bethenny’s couch, to fill in for Luann.
“Ramona still does not like Bethenny. Since Luann wasn’t there they put Ramona on that couch to balance it out,” a third source said.
The source clarified that Sonja, Ramona and Bethenny sat on one sofa, while Carole, Tinsley and Dorinda were positioned on the opposite side.
The outlet also reports that Luann’s relapse is discussed, and it’s revealed that Luann “has not been sober and that she needs help.”
TheRHONY reunion won’t air for a few weeks, but Andy Cohen promised on Twitter that the series will be an “emotional, tense and funny” ride.
RHONY reunion airs Wednesday nights, at 9:00 p.m., ET, on Bravo.
