Fireworks popped between Vicki Gunvalson and her son-in-law, Ryan Culberson, over the fourth of July holiday, but according to a new report, the Real Housewives of Orange County star has cooled the family feud.
The messy back and forth began when the husband of Vicki’s daughter, Briana, posted a series of pics with Vicki’s ex, Donn. The photos sparked Vicki to lash out on Instagram, writing “Interesting how you always post photos of Donn there, but never me. Enjoy your visit!”
Vicki responded to a fan, who commented that it was a mistake to cut Donn loose, writing “No jealousy here! Great dad?” Vicki’s son, Michael Wolfsmith, chimed in, commenting, “Ummm they didn’t have him as a ‘father’?? He sucked! He told me he loved me the day they got divorced, about 15 years after being my ‘dad.’”
Ryan Culberson fired back at Vicki’s shade, ordering his mother-in-law to stop the social media jabs.
“Please stop drunk posting drama on my page. This is a positive post not supposed to be anything negative towards you.”
Vicki reacted by swallowing her pride and squashing the squabble. An insider revealed to Radar Online that Vicki and Ryan have since patched up their relationship.
“She doesn’t want any animosity with Donn and her family,” the source said. “It’s just hard for Vicki to be away from them,” explained the insider. “She needs to accept they moved and that they will have Donn there, too.”
Despite Ryan’s plea for peace, he accused Vicki of “neglecting” her grandsons, via unanswered phone calls, just last month.
“Vicki loves her family and wants everyone to be happy,” added the source. “It is very difficult for her to see them sharing pictures with Donn.”
Do you believe that Ryan Culberson and Vicki Gunvalson’s peace will last?
The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres July 16th, on Bravo.
