Andy Cohen flip flops after social media blasted the Bravo Executive for sympathizing with Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kim Zolciak-Biermann.

During a recent appearance on The Jenny McCarthy Showhe said there was a “gang up” against Zolciak-Biermann.

“I had a really rough time for the last chunk of that [reunion] when Kim was on,” he tells McCarthy Thursday, May 17. “Because it got very — I hate a five against one situation … because it’s a gang up. And the problem is that Kim was not — it’s less problematic when the person is good at kind of taking up for themselves. Kim was not having an easy time with her words. She was making it harder for herself. … No one was listening to me and I really did not have control of the room and I wish that I had walked off of that reunion.”

On Thursday, Cohen appeared on The Breakfast Club, and backtracked his initial statement — saying he misspoke and Zolciak-Biermann was not taking ownership of her words.

“I was just saying I lost control of the room and it was not a gang up and what can I say? Give me the Donkey of the Day,” he says. “And the other thing is, she kept saying, ‘I didn’t say that’ … and I’m like, ‘Yeah, you did.’ So it was really going absolutely nowhere … and I was just over it.”

In regards to Zolciak-Biermann’s remarks about racism not being a thing before social media, Cohen said the Don’t Be Tardy star has always had difficulty seeing the nuance in her words.

As reportedall of social media has been slamming the Bravo bigwig since the interview aired — calling out Andy for defending Kim — especially after the mouthy reality star blurted racist comments, while complaining about the reunion narrative.
