Andy Cohen is feeling the wrath of Twitter, after sympathizing with Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kim Zolciak Biermann, during a recent appearance on The Jenny McCarthy Show.
“Atlanta this season… I had a really rough time with the last chunk of that when Kim was on because it got very…” Andy said. “I hate a five against one situation because it is a gang up.”
“And the problem is that Kim was not… It’s less problematic when the person is good at taking up for themselves and Kim was not having an easy time with her words,” Andy said, adding snarkily that he wished he had staged a classic Housewives walk-off.
Twitter has been slamming the Bravo bigwig since the interview aired—calling out Andy for defending Kim—especially after the mouthy reality star blurted racist comments, while complaining about the reunion narrative.
@Andy u are SO full of shit! The reunion was the only time they had to confront Kim cause she talked all her shit behind their back/with her lap dog Sheree. You even said she was combative, now it’s ganged up on?! Shouldn’t be surprised you wanna side with the white woman. #RHOA pic.twitter.com/k9gPNoZEDc

They need to replace @Andy after this Jenny McCarthy interview this is not cool. The comment about walking out and him saying he never would have walked out on other shows makes it seem like the black women on this show are the issue and not Kim and her messiness the whole season

really Andy? You never feel bad when the other girls are attached. I guess Kim and her white tears was just what the doctor ordered.

Viewers are blasting Andy for gushing sympathy in Kim’s direction—while routinely hanging other Housewives out to dry.
So @Andy really opened up his mouth to say Kim was “ganged up on” and he wishes he would’ve walked out of the reunion. So when NeNe, Porsha, Phaedra and Kenya got reunion dragged where was this energy? ? #RHOA

I'm a little confused at how @Andy says he should've walked off during the ATL reunion with the whole Kim thing. But didn't walk off when Porsha dragged Kenya, or when Teresa pushed him, or when Shannon, Heather, Megan and Tamra would gang up on Vicki.

I am done watching #RHOA.✌? @Andy you need to start supporting the black women the same way you support Kim. Every woman on that show has been in the hot seat and you didn’t feel the need to walk off. Now you want to pull the angry black woman card ?? #RHOAIsCancelled

Fans are seeing red—and are slamming the Watch What Happens Live host for his unusual post-reunion analysis.
Why you believe Kim Z fake tears now? If she can’t take the heat, she never should have turned on the oven!! I’m truly disappointed in you Andy…

Make sure all you brown ladies and gentlemen unfollow Andy and stop watching his shows. If he will stick by racist Kim at the expense of the brown girls, we need to stick by ours. Stop playing with these fake people. Stop supporting these racists!

Waiting for @Andy to explain why he felt Kim Zoliciak was ganged up on and why does he think it’s okay for her to say racism isn’t real. You wanted to walk off but how come to didn’t walk away when she let that bs fly out of her mouth? The black fans of #RHOA are dying to know

Miss Thing @Andy I'm starting the petition for you to be replaced. The audacity of you to attack the other girls when Kim did her fair share to contribute to her draggings. You have lost your damn mind!

Andy has not yet responded to the social media spanking. How do you think he will handle the ongoing controversy?
