#RHOA Shamea Morton Is Pregnant with Her First Child!
Shamea Morton and husband Gerald Mwangi are expecting their first child together.
“I am due around Thanksgiving,” Shamea confirmed to Us Weekly
Shamea broke the news at her 36th birthday party, on Sunday, May 13. Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss and Sheree Whitfield were on hand to celebrate.
“God has blessed me so much. I’ve got a great husband that I love so much. I’ve got awesome, awesome friends and family,” began the former Atlanta Falcons cheerleader. “The only thing I can ask if for a healthy baby.” The room quickly erupted into thunderous applause, as Shamea and the Kenyan businessman held up signs. Hers read, “S—t just real,” while his featured drawings of sperm and read: “One made it.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and Gerald tied the knot in Nairobi, Kenya, in July 2017. Though Porsha skipped the affair, Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, made the 19-hour trip. Tameka “Tiny” Cottle was also in attendance.
Shamea and Gerald dated for more than three years before saying “I do.”
“He is amazing. He is definitely Godsend. And they say you got to kiss a couple of frogs before you get your Prince Charming, and that is definitely what he is,” Shamea gushed to Bravo’s Daily Dish ahead of her nuptials. “I think about where I was five years ago even, and I think about where I am now, and all I can say is, God, he is good, and he is so merciful, and he is understanding, and he is so patient.”
Shamea shared that she and Gerald will reveal the gender of their baby on their first wedding anniversary on July 22, but neither of them know if they’re having a boy or a girl at this time. Shamea said that she and her husband “just want a healthy baby.”
